who are we
The Scottish Parliament, with its devolved powers, has
significant influence on policies that can help reduce
greenhouse gas emissions. Scotland, as a nation, can and
must lead by example if we are serious about encouraging
a collective global response to climate change. The Stop
Climate Chaos Scotland coalition, as part of the growing
UK wide coalition, contains most of the UK's leading environmental
and international development organisations as well as
women's organisations, activist groups and faith based
campaigns. Our aim is to build irresistible popular pressure
on politicians to take steps to halt climate change.

Campaign
against Climate Change
Campaign against Climate Change brings people together to push for the urgent
and resolute action we need - at a national and global level - to prevent the
catastrophic destabilisation of global climate.
Christian
Aid works in some of the world's poorest communities in more than
50 countries. We act where the need is greatest, regardless of religion,
helping people build the life they deserve.
The Church
of Scotland is concerned that climate change
poses a serious and immediate threat to people everywhere,
particularly to the poor of the earth; and that climate
change represents a failure in our stewardship of God’s
creation. We accept the need to reduce the emissions of
greenhouse gases urgently to avoid dangerous and irreversible
climate change; and to promote a more equitable and sustainable
use of energy.

pressures. Flooding, dredging, building in the flood plain,
and new bridges are some of their many concerns.
Concern Worldwide: Concern’s mission is to help

and advocacy work.
